Monday practice report

Monday usually means a short on-field work day for the Washington Huskies and today was no exception, as the team is done with a workout of about an hour. And as usual, it was a no-pads practice.
In the only unexpected personnel news, C Ryan Tolar was not participating, having reported having headaches today. We don’t have access to coaches afterward so that’s all the word we got on that. Mykenna Ikehara took his place with the No. 1 OL.
Also. Everrette Thompson continues to run with the starting unit at one DT spot alongside Cameron Elisara. But the rest of the offense and defense looked the same.
S Victor Aiyewa, who had his “bell rung” in the WSU game, was participating in some stuff.
BEST STILL OUT? — The big thing to watch this week from Cal’s standpoint is whether RB Jahvid Best tries to return, having been out since a harrowing incident against Oregon State on Nov. 7. Doesn’t sound as if he will, according to this note on the Bear Talk blog.
Cal was off today so there won’t be anything new from down there tonight. However, Cal coach Jeff Tedford will meet with the media on Tuesday when there may be an update on Best.
