Locker named Pac-10 Player of the Week

UW quarterback Jake Locker was named today as the Pac-10’s Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Washington’s 42-10 win over Cal.
It’s the first such honor of his career.
Locker accounted for five touchdowns overall, and completed 19 of 23 passes (.826) for 248
yards and three touchdowns of 40, 21 and 13 yards with no interceptions. On the ground, he rushed 14 times for 77 yards (5.5) and two touchdowns of 19 and 2 yards.
Arizona defensive tackle Earl Mitchell and OSU kicker Justin Kahut were honored for defense and special teams.
UW’s Daniel Te’o-Nesheim was also nominated.
It was the fourth player of the week honor for a Husky this season as LB Donald Butler and PK Erik Folk were each given the award following the win over USC and LB Mason Foster after the win over Arizona.
