Husky Football Blog

The latest news and analysis on the Montlake Dawgs.

Thursday morning links — Huskies in Vegas Bowl in 2010?

That’s what Nick Daschel thinks, as he wrote that with or without Jake Locker, the Huskies should be bowling next season, specifically pegging them for Vegas.
He also notes that UW’s schedule may be more difficult next year than it was this season, considering a road game at BYU (probably similar to going to Notre Dame this year) home games against Syracuse and Nebraska (probably a wash with Idaho and LSU this year) and a flipped Pac-10 schedule that sees road games at Oregon, USC, Arizona and Cal.
In other news. …
— Here’s a writeup from the Honolulu Advertiser on the two Hawaiian linemen who chose UW in the past few days.
— Here’s a nice column from the LA Daily News on Oaks Christian, the team of UW commits Nick Montana and Erik Kohler.
— Times columnist Bud Withers casts his Heisman vote for Toby Gerhart.
Jim Moore says he can’t believe Locker may actually be thinking of returning.
— California DB Troy Hill, who took visits to UW, Arizona and Oregon, has chosen the Ducks.
— A writer with FanIQ.com looks further at the Locker situation.
All for now.
