Quick press conference notes

A few quick notes from the press conference today:
Jake Locker reiterated his happiness with staying at UW and said he’s had no second thoughts. I’ll have more complete quotes later but that was the main theme. The most noteworthy thing might be that he acknowldged that he thinks an undefeated season is “realistic” next season.
— Coach Steve Sarkisian said Vince Taylor is transferring and also confirmed the earlier news about Kurt Mangum. He said there could be 1-2 more leaving but that right now, that’s it. Taylor battled injuries throughout his career but he said Taylor mostly just wanted “a fresh start” somewhere else.
— He said Chris Polk had shoulder surgery this week to clean up a few things and will sit out the spring but will be fine for the season.
— Still no word on E.J. Savananh’s sixth year. He is enrolled in school and waiting to hear what happens.
Skylar Fancher, Greg Chrstine and Justin Glenn should all be back for spring, he said.
Brandon Yakaboski and Terrence Thomas are still “out indefinitely.”
Kalani Aldrich is still “three months out,” he said but the hope is he could return for spring.
— Said they are waiting on a “good report” for Chris Robinson and Will Shamburger.
— Sarkisian said he has gotten close to Jim Mora and felt bad he got fired today. He joked that he wouldn’t be able to afford him on the staff here.
More detailed quotes later.
