Tuesday afternoon links, notes

First off, thanks for all the great questions and comments during the recruiting chat earlier today. I will do at least one chat on here this week — maybe tomorrow — when we can address UW issues more specifically.
Now, on to a few links and notes. …
— LB Donald Butler is the lone Husky participating in the Senior Bowl this week, where the practice sessions — watched by dozens of NFL scouts — are as important as the game itself. Butler drew a positive mention from this observer from RealGM.com as well as from this observer from KCChiefs.com.
— MaxPreps.com released its list of the top 10 prospects in the state this week — UW will sign seven of them.
— The Long Beach Press-Telegram has an assessment of the recruiiting classes of USC and UCLA, noting that the Trojans don’t appear to be losing anyone in the transition in coaches (and the story mentions some players UW has been recruiting, as well).

RealDawg.com reported that LB Hayes Pullard has dropped UW and whittled his list to just UCLA and USC. He’s long been thought a lean to UCLA.
— Here’s a good roundup of all you’d need to know about the situation at Oregon.
All for now.
