Husky Football Blog

The latest news and analysis on the Montlake Dawgs.

Wednesday links and notes

Now that I’m off Mariner and Olympic duty, I’ll try to be a little more regular with links.
I’ll also try to finish off before the spring all of the position overviews, as well as a couple other spring preview things I have planned. The reality, however, is that spring is almost already upon us, and I also have some vacation time coming, so may not get to everything I originally planned. The tradeoff is that spring football lasts an extra week this year (still 15 practices, but more spread out) so there should simply be a lot more time to get some stuff up during spring football itself.
So basically what I’m saying is that the next 10 days or so on the blog I’ll do what I can, then once spring football rolls around we’ll try to be back to normal on here.
Now on to a few links. …
— Times columnist Nicole Broduer breaks down how much some UW administrators are giving back to the school this year, including Steve Sarkisian, who is donating $91,650 of his salary to help student scholarships and academic programs.
— Here’s a good wrapup of the second day of spring practice at BYU, the first opponent for UW next year.
By the way, only four of UW’s 2010 opponents has started spring practice — Arizona, Stanford and Cal are the others. However, Stanford is breaking its practices into two sessions, around spring break, and is currently on hiatus.
— Cal is breaking in a new special teams coach during its spring practices.
— Oregon’s official web site breaks down the team’s QB position, for those still wondering where the team heads now without Jeremiah Masoli.
Ken Goe with lots more links around the Pac-10.
All for now.
