Tuesday links — more opponent spring practice happenings

UW now just a week away from opening spring drills. Here are a few links of happenings from some of Washington’s 2010 opponents:
— Is Jake Heaps winning the BYU QB job alread? This story out of Provo says that “by most accounts” Heaps has been “the most impressive quarterback” so far. It also notes that the BYU OL suffered another loss due to injury and may not have enough OLs to hold a spring game.
— Syracuse lost a potential starting WR, Mike Jones, when he apparently just left the team shortly before practice began on Monday. However, Syracuse welcomed back LB E.J. Carter, who had been thought banished from the team. He was a starter last year as a freshman.
— Oregon also opens next Tuesday and Ted Miller has a little look at its QB situation as well as a few other Ducks’ notes. Miller also checks in on Washington State, which also opens this week.
Nick Daschel examines the cornerback position in the Pac-10 and includes UW as one of the healthy.
All for now.
