A question that came up during the live chat is whether there are any odds yet on the 2010 Heisman race, one in which UW QB Jake Locker — seen at right during Thursday’s practice with UW coach Steve Sarkisian — will be a leading candidate.
I haven’t seen any odds anywhere.
But here are a couple of good lists of likely leading candidates here, and here. HeismanPundit.com is also a good place to follow the race and has this early list of 2010 candidates.
Interestingly, HeismanPundit doesn’t list Locker but does include two other Pac-10 players, RBs Jacquizz Rodgers of Oregon State and LaMichael James of Oregon.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— Yahoo.com’s Michael Silver has his annual mock NFL Draft of all available pro and college football players, and selects Locker 31st.
— Dawgman.com’s weekly show on KJR-AM tomorrow morning should be interesting for those following recruiting, with guests including Skyline WR Kasen Williams and his father Aaron, a former Husky receiver. Details here. The show runs from 9-11 a.m.
— GoHuskies.com has an update on Keith Price’s progress this spring.
— Never easy to find much on Stanford, so worth reading this story on how the Cardinal’s defense could look different in 2010.
— The Lott Trophy announced its 2010 watch list today, and while there are no Huskies, there are eight other Pac-10 players mentioned.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller with a few other good links from around the conference.
This may be it on the blog until practice tomorrow, which is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Husky Stadium.
