A few things worth passing along. …
— The Associated Press looks at the draft hopes for Donald Butler, pictured right last year against USC. The draft begins Thursday.
— I see a few of you have discussed this already, but here’s the Scout.com story on Lakes High OL Zach Banner, whose biological father is former Husky Lincoln Kennedy — though as the story details, there’s a lot more to it than that. Banner is completing his sophomore season at Lakes and will be one of the top recruits in the state for the Class of 2012. He has attended several UW practices this spring.
— An injury that knocked former Husky Johnie KIrton out of the game was cited as a key reason that Arizona lost its Arena Football League game the other night. Also kind of funny to see the player quoted as talking about how much the Kirton injury hurt Arizona was former WSU receiver Trandon Harvey, whose last-minute TD won the 2005 Apple Cup for the Cougars.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller opens his mailbag and says that the Huskies will be very good on offense if the line can stay healthy.
— My appearance Monday night on Northwest Sports Radio should be available here soon (if not already by the time you read this).
— And you’ve got to love this story about USC’s Malcolm Smith dissing UCLA on his Twitter page.
All for now.
