Quick post-practice notes

I’ll have a more full report later. Due to the draft, have to do some other stuff real fast, but wanted to pass along a couple quick notes:
— UW coach Steve Sarkisian said the injury to RB Jesse Callier is a sprained PCL and nothing serious, with the brace mostly precautionary. Says he could maybe play in the spring game next week, though they’ll be careful with it.
— No other injury news of note.
— In most interesting personnel note, said Chris Izbicki would be the starting tight end if the Huskies played a game today. Said both Izbicki and Kavario Middleton have done some good things in spring but that overall, Izbicki’s been a little better.
Daniel Kanczugowski ran with the ones at right tackle ahead of Skyler Fancher for much of practice, including the team period at the end. But Sarkisian said it’s mostly just to see how the line looks with different combinations. That’s the spot Cody Habben would play in the fall once healthy, so in a way, it’s a battle to see who the backup would be.
All for now.
