UCLA game moved to Thursday, Nov. 18

UW has called a press conference for tomorrow to announce that the UCLA game will be moved to Thursday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m.
Here’s my story about it, and it also details that this is part of what is hoped to be some other programming deals between UW and ESPN/ABC that could also include a College GameDay appearance next season. The hope at UW is that the Huskies start out 2-0 and then GameDay will come for the Sept. 18 game against Nebraska.
And again, instead of just repeating the entire story here, click on the link and read it for more on the move of thee UCLA game. I’m sure there will be more details coming at the press conference tomorrow on the move of the UCLA game and other possible TV situations down the road as Dave Brown, vice president of programming at ESPN, is scheduled to attend the press conference along with UW AD Scott Woodward and coach Steve Sarkisian.
Here’s how the 2010 schedule now looks:
Sept. 4 — at BYU
Sept. 11 — Syracuse
Sept. 18 — Nebraska
Sept. 25 — Bye week
Oct. 2 — at USC
Oct. 9 — Arizona State
Oct. 16 — Oregon State
Oct. 23 — at Arizona
Oct. 30 — Stanford
Nov. 6 — at Oregon
Nov. 18 — UCLA
Nov. 27 — at Cal
Dec. 4 — at Washington State
The only two games at the moment that have TV and start times determined are BYU — 4 p.m. Seattle time on CBS College Sports, and UCLA.
Some others will be decided in the next few weeks or so as the networks make their choices of the most-attractive contests. Games not selected then will likely wait until into the season for start times and TV, usually either six or 12 days in advance.
