Wednesday night links

Figured you might want to change the topic, so here are a few links to do with what you will. …
Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com is the latest to list Jake Locker as the potential No. 1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft while also listing a few other Pac-10 players as potential first-rounders (though no Huskies).
Jon Wilner decided to rate Pac-10 coaches on a system of wins per draft choices and concludes that UW’s coaches haven’t been so bad the last few years (not sure too many UW fans will agree with the Tyrone Willingham portion of that era).
— Some really good stuff in the latest mailbag from Stewart Mandel of SI.com. On the first page, he addresses whether USC should still be the Pac-10 favorite (saying that he doesn’t think USC will improve on the 9-4 record of a year ago); and on page two, he looks at Nebraska’s defense and says it should be as good or better than a year ago, and also answers a question from a reader who says it was “idiotic” that Locker came back for one more year.
— Also some interesting stuff in this Sporting News Four Down segment, including thoughts on how much impact Mark Emmert may have on the NCAA and Dave Curtis saying that the spring game he is most curious to see this weekend is Washington’s.
Daniel Te’o-Nesheim will wear No. 52 with the Eagles, which apparently doesn’t have a great recent history.
— Here’s a good overview of what Emmert had to say today about some of the bigger issus facing the NCAA as he prepares to take over.
— ESPN’s Greg Biggins has a note about an LA-area linebacker named Reggie Coats who says UW is his leader.
All for now.
