New Pac-10 logo unveiled (sort of)

Happened to be at UW today for the press briefing by Husky athletic director Scott Woodward (more on which in a few minutes) and walked through Hec Edmundson Pavilion.
And I couldn’t help but notice the new Pac-10 logo painted on the court, which is in the process of an off-season renovation. There it is to the right — I couldn’t get any closer as the court is still closed while it dries.
The new logo replaces the one below (though this one had been in existance for only a couple of years, as noted in this story from 2008):

I’ll let you guys decide which one is better — I’d be the last one to admit I have any eye for this sort of thing and UW probably could have played five seasons with that logo pained on the floor before I would have noticed.
The new logo is one of many changes being made by the conference under first-year commissioner Larry Scott, and should the conference secure its own TV network and all that in coming years, I would imagine you will be seeing it a lot.
