Weekend links

A few items floating around there this weekend worth passing along:
Cody Kessler, a Class of 2011 QB from Bakersfield, Calif., told ESPN Rise that he was ready to commit to Washington before receiving offers this week from USC and UCLA.
Kenechi Udeze, who is an assistant strength coach for the Huskies and played at USC, received his bachelor’s degree from USC this weekend and was the main speaker at the student-athlete graduation ceremony.
— Former Husky OL Stanley Daniels was picked up by the Denver Broncos.
Greg Hansen of the Arizona Daily Star has an interesting look at how the Pac-10 is changing its ways — such as playing games on Friday nights and playing two games at the same time on Saturdays — in an effort to maximize TV dollars.
Jon Wilner looks ahead at all that may happen in the next week in college sports, some of which could impact UW, such as the releasing of the annual APR (last week there was some news on top performers, including the Husky basketball team, but not the full report).
— What could make the most waves of those items is the release of the report on the USC investigation. The Orlando Sentinel reviews what could come USC’s way.
— Finally, Paola Boivin of the Arizona Republic takes another look at how expansion could impact the Pac-10.
All for now.
