Tuesday night notes

Is Steve Sarkisian hinting at good news for UW in the recruiting front? Seems that way tonight reading his latest Tweet, which says simply “I love recruiting.”
May is a month when assistants can get out on the road, and UW has been fully staffed in that department, so it would be no surprise if something happened.
In other news. …
— Here’s the transcript of Sarkisian’s interview on 710 ESPN Seattle today. Sarkisian said again that Jake Locker is likely to run in similar fashion to end of last season and that any decision on the backup QB battle may not come until the week of the BYU game.
Jon Wilner happened to talk with Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott today. Interestingly, Scott says that “nothing has changed” in his outlook on expansion since the day he took over as commissioner. At that time, he said simply it was an issue worth exploring. All the heated talk since then, he seems to be saying, is just that and not due to any change in the Pac-10’s stance on the issue.
All for now.
