Wednesday morning links — ESPNU Top 150 released, and more

Another day, another recruiting ranking released — typically for this time of year now that the May evaluation period is ovver.
Today it’s the ESPNU 150. Ted Miller summarizes it here, noting that there are only four players on it currently committed to Pac-10 schools, one to UW —- Aubrey Coleman at No. 115.
As Miller notes, just 18 players from the West Coast are listed, so it will be tough for Pac-10 schools to look real good in this one. That includes just two from the state of Washington — WR Kasen Williams of Skyline at No. 62 and tight end Austin Sefarian-Jenkins at No. 88. Not included are RB Brendan Bigelow and QB Cody Kessler, each on the Rivals.com list linked here Monday.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— CoachSark’s site reported that the Huskies held their first full staff and team meeting yesterday since the May evaluation period began, which obviously makes sense since assistants were on the road recruiting for the month.
— Speaking of Bigelow, ESPN is also reporting today on its Insider “On The Trail” section that he is “now considering other schools.” Bigelow, an RB from Fresno, committed to UW in January but has since gotten offers from seemingly half the teams in college football, including Notre Dame, USC and UCLA. He told the site that he now considers himself “a soft verbal” to UW, meaning the Huskies will likely have to fight to the end for his services.
— It is now being widely reported that Kessler will make his decision known today at 4 p.m. UW and USC are thought to be his two favorites, and seems as if the conventional wisdom is leaning toward the Trojans. We’ll see for sure later this afternoon.
— With judgement day coming soon for USC, two Orange County Register writers debate what may happen. (And more evidence that it will be made public this week came today with news that former USC hoops coach Tim Floyd will hold a teleconference on Monday to discuss it).
— Here’s kind of a neat idea — an Oklahoma writer rates every Big 12 game this year and has the UW-Nebraska matchup at No. 10.
Jon Wilner ranks the Pac-10 non-conference schedules and has UW at No. 2.
All for now.
