Reports say A&M chooses SEC

There are several reports out tonight that Texas A&M is expected to choose to move to the SEC.
While this might seem like a little bit of a setback for the Pac-10, it also could all but ensure that the other four Big 12 South schools it is perusing move to its conference as losing A&M would almost certainly kill any chance that the Big 12 could stay together.
Meanwhile, Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman Tweeted tonight that the Big 12 schools considering the Pac-10 will have to wait until after a Wednesday legislative hearing make their move and that the Pac-10 has given those schools a Friday deadline. Andy Staples of SI.com breaks down what could happen at that hearing.
In a couple other interesting expasion-related stories:
— Times staff Bud Withers wraps up the day in expansion.
Dan Wetzel of Yahoo.com looks at how the Pac-16 could impact recruiting.
John Canzano explains how it came to be that Pac-10 commish Larry Scott is flying everywhere in the plane of former Oregon AD Pat Kilkenny.
— The AP examines how Missouri, a school looking like it could be a big loser in all of this, is scrambling to try to save what’s left of the Big 12 after being shunned by the Big 10.
All for now.
