Thursday a.m. links

Links compliled while following the tennis match that won’t end (except, whoops, it just ended). …
— Former UW punter Jared Ballman, signed last week by the Jets, was quietly released yesterday.
— A story out of Philadelphia says the Eagles are excited to see Daniel Te’o-Nesheim finally put on the pads in a few weeks.
— Some interesting comments by UW linebackers coach Mike Cox about Donald Butler.
— Mocking the Draft compares UW’s Jake Locker and Florida State’s Christian Ponder.
— The Washington East-West all-star game is set for Saturday in Everett. But the only UW signee on the initial rosters is Sione Potoa’e (if you exclude Darius Waters).
— The Big 12 said this week that for now, it is okay with 10 teams (and reading this story, it seems like the Big 12 will now look exactly like the Pac-10 did for years in terms of alignment and scheduling).
— Oklahoma State’s AD says it will be an advantage for the new Big 12 NOT to have a conference title game.
— USC signee Seantreal Henderson seems kind of miffed about the way the sanctions went down and what Trojans’ coaches told him about it before hand (hard to believe college football coaches might put a positive spin on something during recruiting, huh?)
All for now.
