Sunday links — Atoe shines in Schwab game, and more

A couple of future UW linemen played in All-Star games last night, and sounds like both did well.
Future UW OT James Atoe was named the lineman of the game for the victorious South squad in the Les Schwab Bowl All-Star Game. His play also impressed this writer from Building the Dam (Atoe’s mentioned near the bottom).
And according to this report, future UW DL Sione Potoa’e helped spearhed the East defense as it rolled over the West in the Washington state 4A/3A All-Star football game.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— Times columnist Jerry Brewer talked recently to UW AD Scott Woodward about his second year heading up the school’s athletic department.
— Interesting story out of Hawaii about Steve Sarkisian’s participation in the All-Poly Camp.
— LB Jordan Campbell is leaving USC and transferring to Louisville. But as this story makes clear, there’s a lot more to Campbell’s departure than simply the sanctions recently levied on the program, and he wasn’t likely to be a key contributor for the Trojans this year.
Jon Wilner examines the 2010 Pac-10 football TV schedule, though as he notes, an awful lot of holes still to be filled.
All for now.
