Wednesday links — Pac-10 in the spotlight

The Pac-10’s bicoastal, three-day media blitz is at least paying off in added attention as there are all kinds of stories out there on the conference. Here are a few, as well as some recruiting news and a feature on Mason Foster:
— Actually, first is this photo of the 10 conference coaches (and a few of their wives) in New York this morning (corrected from earlier and thanks for the heads up).
— The LA Times has an overview of the Pac-10’s marketing efforts.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller writes that the hype works. He also has a review of the tight end position in the Pac-10.
— Here’s the story from Greg Biggins some of you have already discussed in which Gig Harbor tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins says he is down to Texas and UW. He said he plans to take a visit to Texas early next month. He also says that the talk that he could be moved to offensive line if he goes to Texas was a “big misunderstanding” on his part and that the Longhorns don’t have plans to do that unless his weight tops 280. Biggins also notes that CB Stefan McClure of Vista, Calif., lists UW among his favorites along with UCLA and Boise State.
— The Denver Post reports that Colorado is almost certain to join the conference for 2011, making it a true Pac-12 next year.
— Finally, here’s the feature on Foster from his hometown newspaper.
All for now.
