Sunday links — Practice just eight days away now

The headline says it all — UW’s first practice is now just eight days away.
If you need reminders on the dates and times of practies and practice policies, you can find it all here. It’s pretty much the same as a year ago.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— NFL camps have begun, and Daniel Te’o-Nesheim was among those who got in scuffles at Eagles’ practice yesterday.
— The Deseret News offers five points to ponder as BYU gets set to begin camp.
— Syracuse’s 30-year-old QB coach will call the plays for the offense when the team comes to Husky Stadium on Sept. 11.
— Former Husky Kai Ellis had a big fumble recovery as Edmonton finally got a win in CfL play Friday (and every time I link something about Elllis I remember all the stories written during his time here about his balky knees. You just never know).
Rick Neuheisel — as is often been his custom — says to George Schroeder of the Eugene Register-Guard what every other coach in the Pac-10 is surely thinking — anyone but Washington State can realistically think of winning the conference this year. (And hard to imagine that Neuheisel can be any less popular in Pullman than he already was, so probably not a lot to lose there).
— Speaking of the Cougs, Vince Grippi examines just how hot is the seat of coach Paul Wulff and also provides some additional notes and links from around the conference.
All for now,
