Thursday links — Catch Sark’s press conference, and a few more notes

Another sign that the season is just around the corner is UW coach Steve Sarkisian’s annual press conference to preview the beginning of fall camp.
Sarkisian will meet the media today at noon at UW and you can watch it on-line here. I will also have full coverage later in this space and for our on-line and print products.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— One web site has BYU opening as a 3 to three-and-a-half point favorite against UW. (And thanks to Vince Grippi for including that in his links today).
— Here’s more detail on Donald Butler’s season-ending injury.
— CoachSark has a Facebook fan page now.
Ted Miller has an entertaining read on the most painful loss for each Pac-10 team, with UW on the giving end of two of them.
— The Deseret News has a preview of BYU while ESPN notes that the Cougars could play two QBs this season. And here are a lot more BYU notes.
— Syracuse coach Doug Marrone says his team does not have a QB controversy.
Jon Wilner passes along the guidelines for voting in the AP Top 25 poll.
Chip Kelly says Oregon’s QB battle is closer than people think.
All for now.
