Wednesday afternoon links — Jake Locker’s workout regimen, Sark speaks, and Punt, Pass and Pints

A hodgepodge of notes for a Wednesday afternoon. …
— First, I’ll be among the Seattle Times writers appearing at a roundtable at KJR-AM’s Punt, Pass and Pints Thursday afternoon at the Qwest Field North Plaza (here are more details). We’ll do a question-and-answer session from 5:15-5:30 p.m., then join with Mike Gastineau for an hour-long roundtable. It’s a football-centric show, with columnist Jerry Brewer, Seahawks writer Danny O’Neil and preps writer Mason Kelley among those also participating. UW will be practicing at around the same time, but we’ll get that covered in this space, as well.
— Here is Steve Sarkisian’s interview after practice this morning:

— And here is Jake Locker’s interview with Men’s Health magazine in which he discusses his workout regimen. (Wonder if I try if it I’ll look just like Locker in a few months?)
— The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce has some good details on the Husky Stadium renovation. Though I’ll point out that selling naming rights has been on the table for years and is nothing new. The general plan is to get enough money in the pocket to begin construction, then borrow against the rest, paying it off with money made from the stadium (premimum seating, etc.).
— Pac-10 links from ESPN.com’s Ted Miller and The Oregonian.
— And lots of confirmation out there today that BYU will go Independent following the 2010 season. Interestingly, UW and BYU were originally scheduled to play in the 2011 and 2012 seasons before UW opted out of the deal, scheduling instead Eastern Washington and Portland State. The reasoning was mostly to make the schedules more managble (UW is already going to Nebraska in 2011 and LSU in 2012) and add an extra home game in that two-year span.
All for now.
