Explaining TV for the BYU game

I continue to get enough questions about the TV situation for the BYU game that I figured it might be worth its own separate entry to make it clear.
The game will be on CBS College Sports. Not CBS, but CBS College Sports, a network that is an offshoot of CBS. Here is its web site.
And this won’t change. And it also won’t be picked up by any other network anywhere.
So, if you want to watch it, you need to make sure you have CBS College Sports, figure out a way to get it, or find somewhere else to watch the game.
I won’t pretend to be an expert on every cable or dish system and whether or not it gets CBS College Sports. I do know that it is available on Comcast in Snohomish and King counties (here’s the Comcast list). It is Channel 412, or in HD at 633.
So consider this your two-week warning to figure out your viewing plans.
To answer how the game is on this network — it is BYU’s home game and as such, BYU controls the TV rights (just as UW did when BYU played here two years ago). The MWC, which BYU remains a member of for the purposes of this, anyway, has a deal with CBS College Sports, and this game is simply part of that package. The network will regularly air games all season long (here’s the list).
