Sunday links, notes

Camp is officially over now, and we’re onto gameweek — just six days until kickoff in Provo.
The team is off today, but UW coach Steve Sarkisian will have his first Monday press conference tomorrow at noon, so we’ll have coverage of that on here, as well as the practice that will follow.
What follows are a few links and notes, with a heavy dose of season previews as many newspapers published their special sections today.
— I know there’s lots of conjecture on here about Brett Hundley and his Facebook announcement that he will make his choice of college known on Sept. 6. I don’t have anything more to add to it. Hundley has said it’s either UW or UCLA, and while he was expected to make a trip to UW this weekend and didn’t, he’s been up here twice. We’ll see where it leads. As noted on here earlier, sounds as if UW would likely go next to Adam Pittser of Richmond, Ill. Here’s the Scout.com list of all the QBs UW has been thought pursuing.
— Lots of pictures on Coach Sark’s site from the mock game Friday at the Seahawks’ facility.
— The LA Times has this preview of the Huskies, noting the conditioning changes made since Sarkisian arrived.
— Here’s the latest from BYU, including the news that the team went on a slip-and-slide following practice Saturday.
— The Arizona Republic published its college football special section today, as well, and has UW picked sixth (though don’t let that stop you from clicking on the link, which links to lots of other good stuff).
— The Santa Monica Daily Breeze has its Pac-10 preview with lots of comments from Kirk Herbstreit.
— Here’s the BYU season preview from the Salt Lake Tribune. And from The Deseret News. Also, an interesting column on whether Bronco Mendenhall is taking the right approach in being vague about starters at a number of positions.
— Here’s a good overview of Syracuse’s program from The Post-Standard and more Orange news on the blog.
— And everything about Nebraska you might never need from the Omaha World-Herald’s special section.
— Lots of other Pac-10 links from Vince Grippi.
— Former Husky Marcel Reece had another good night for the Raiders with two catches for 45 yards, one setting up an early touchdown. The Raiders host the Seahawks in the final exhibition game for both teams Thursday.
All for now.
