A message from Comcast on viewing the game Saturday

Got around to checking out the in-box this morning and found a note from an official at Comcast about the TV situation for the UW-BYU game Saturday.
He noted that “I’m not sure people realize that they will need an advanced digital set top box and a subscription to the Sports and Entertainment Tier to watch the UW vs. BYU game. The advanced box is the larger set top box. The smaller box, which is about the size of a cable modem and is referred to as a DTA, won’t give you access to these games.
“The reason why I mention this is that we already are getting a lot of calls from Husky fans wanting to find out how they can watch the game. If they wait until game day, chances are they probably will have to wait in long lines at our cable stores to pick up a box and sign up for the sports tier.
“So to recap, the game will air only on CBS College Sports (channel 412 in standard definition or channel 633 in high definition). The channel is only available to Comcast customers as part of the Sports and Entertainment tier of channels which cost $7.95 a month extra. (It also is included as part of the Digital Premier package.)
“Customers also will need an advanced set top box. Any customer who subscribes to Digital Starter or above should have at least one of these boxes in their home, but if they don’t, they will need to get one before game day. If they have any questions, they can call us at 1-800-COMCAST.”
So there you go.
