Monday morning links

On to another week. …
— Here’s my story for Monday’s paper, looking back a little at BYU and ahead a little to Syracuse.
Bud Withers has a quick look at the weekend that was for the Pac-10, noting that the Heisman Trophy hopes of the two NW candidates — Jake Locker and Jacquizz Rodgers — took big hits.
— Some interesting observations on the BYU game from the Provo Daily Herald, including the note on how much emphasis Bronco Mendenhall put on special teams this year.
Ted Miller has some quick previews of week of the Pac-10.
— FanHouse.com rates Locker fourth among Pac-10 QBs after week one.
— The Wall Street Journal has a good overview of the first weekend of the Pac-10 and says UW looked “ragged.”
— The Orange Football Blog at Syracuse.com is a good place for all news about Syracuse.
— The Orange felt like it took a big step with its win at Akron Saturday but knows UW will be a much greater challenge.
Ronnie Fouch was 10-21 for 143 yards in his debut at Indiana State as the Sycamores beat the Pumas of St. Joseph’s College 57-7 (I had ISU by 51 in my picks, so I just missed).
Steve Sarkisian will hold his weekly Monday press conference today at noon and you can watch it on UWTV or later at UWTV.org.
— Finally, Brett Hundley is set to make his decision known around 10:30 a.m. I’ll try to post it as soon as I can.
