Live chat at 11:30 a.m., and Thursday morning links

I’ll hold a live chat today at 11:30 a.m. — and note the time change from the usual noon start, done to accomodate the earlier practice start for the Huskies this week.
Now, on to some links. …
— Times columnist Steve Kelley wrote today about UW LB Mason Foster, who will be a key in keeping an eye on Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez on Saturday.
— For my main story today, I wrote about the matchup of UW WR Jermaine Kearse and Nebraska CB Prince Amukamara. As noted, rarely in football does it workout that one WR faces one CB all game long, and I’m sure each will match up on others many times Saturday. But on the surface, it will be fun to see one of the best CBs in the country go against Kearse, who is off to among the best starts of any WR in the country. The plan, though, may have to be a little different for UW and Kearse than last week, when the Huskies mostly just tossed a lot of short passes his way and let him use his speed and athleticism on the perimeter. UW doesn’t figure to those those kinds of edges this week. By the way, here are the National scouting grades referenced in the story.
Gregg Bell writes on the UW web site that the Huskies believe they can win this week.
— USA Today sent a writer to Seattle this week and has this Jake Locker story as a result, including some interesting comments on his NFL future.
— Nebraska still plans to use backup QB Cody Green at some point in the first half Saturday, according to the Omaha World-Herald. The World-Herald also says that NU defenders are looking forward to the challenge of Locker. The paper also looks at whether NU can execute its vertical passing game.
— HuskerExtra.com has this breakdown of the Huskies and notes that NU tight ends coach Ron Brown has been to Husky Stadium a few times.
— Nebraska StatePaper.com also has a feature on Locker.
— Former UW kicker Chuck Nelson will be co-hosting KOMO4’s live post-game show Saturday that will run from roughly 4-5 p.m. and lead in to the Texas-Texas Tech game that follows.
— Wants tickets to the game? Here’s what’s available on StubHub.com.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller picks Nebraska 28-21 and also looks at what to watch in the Pac-10 this week.
Jon Wilner looks at what’s wrong with UCLA and whether Rick Neuheisel might be to blame, and has UW seventh in his Pac–10 power poll.
— Rivals.com looks at week three of the Pac-10 season.
All for now.
