The latest news and analysis on the Montlake Dawgs.

Saturday morning notes

It’s a Husky-less college football Saturday, but still lots of news out there. …
— UW’s next opponent, USC next Saturday in Los Angeles, is in the Palouse today playing the Cougars at noon. BetFirms.com sees an easy USC win.
— Running back Elijhaa Penny of Norwalk High, who committed to UW in March, says now he is uncommitted. That gives UW 17 known commits for the Class of 2011.
— Skyline High and UW commits Kasen Williams and Connor Cree beat Issaquah easily last nigtht in a matchup of top-ranked teams.
— UW commit Aubrey Coleman of Walnut (Calif.) High scored the winning TD last night.
Nick Holt, son of the UW defensive coordinator of the same name, had a big game for Seattle Prep last night.
— UW commit Josh Perkins caught seven passes for 166 in a big win for Gahr.
— Here’s a good overview of the night in prep football in the Seattle area, and it includes a mention of Kyle Lappano, son of former UW offensive coordinator Tim Lappano (who is now an assistant with the Detroit Lions).
— Here’s a good look at the day ahead in the Pac-10 from The Orange County Register and lots of links from The Oregonian and The Spokesman-Review.
Now to sit in front of the TV for a while.
