Gameday linkage

A little overcast here this morning, and definitely much different weather here than the record highs of earlier in the week. Weather shouldn’t be an issue in the game today.
As for the plan today, I’m hoping to get the stadium in time for a pre-game chat, so look for it around 3:30 p.m. or so, the usual 90 minutes prior to kickoff that we’ve usually tried to do here.
Now, on with the links. …
— Here’s my preview story on the game and the preview scouting box
— In probably the most newsy item of the day, Adam Pittser — the Richmond, Ill. QB who is the only uncommitted QB that UW has a known offer to out at the moment — said in the latest installment of his ESPN Rise diary that he will push his UW visit back to November at the earliest. He had been planning to visit next weekend but says now he wants to wait to do visits until after his high school season.
— The LA Times says USC RB Dillon Baxter is hoping for a larger role today and notes that UW PK Erik Folk and USC counterpart Joe Houston are good friends.
— SI.com counts today’s game as one of the top 10 storylines of the day.
— ESPN.com’s USC blog has a list of five things to watch in today’s game.
— ESPN.com’s Greg Biggins has a look at the top offensive linemen on the West Coast. Two are committed to UW.
— UW commit Austin Sefarian-Jenkins caught the go-ahead TD for Gig Harbor Friday night.
— UW commit Aubrey Coleman had a 97-yard kickoff return Friday night.
— UW commit Josh Perkins also had a big night receiving for Gahr High Friday night.
— Lots of links around the conference from Vince Grippi.
All for now.
