The latest news and analysis on the Montlake Dawgs.

Tuesday morning links

A couple days later and the line on the OSU-UW game Saturday really hasn’t changed much, the Beavers either a one-point favorite, or the game regarded as a pick ’em.
Based on the e-mail I’m getting, I don’t get the sense a lot of UW fans are picking the Huskies. Maybe UW fans have simply been down this road a few too many times the last few years to really have much optimism after a 2-3 start. Times columnist Jerry Brewer writes today that the season will be decided soon, saying that the next four games will determine the fate of the Huskies.
Indeed, UW plays what at the moment would generally be regarded to be the top four teams in the conference the next four weeks — Oregon State, Arizona, Stanford and Oregon. As Brewer, the season goes fast. UW’s task is to make it last a little longer.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— Brewer also looks at the origin of one of Steve Sarkisian’s quotes Monday.
— Here’s my wrapup of Monday’s press conference and practice.
— Here’s also my story on how Jake Locker says he isn’t losing confidence in his receivers despite a myriad of drops lately.
— Here’s all the Oregon State news you could ever want from The Oregonian.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller offers a mid-season report of the Huskies and picks Jake Locker and Mason Foster as the MVPs.
— ESPN.com’s Andy Katz has an update on how the Pac-10 may split itself into divisions.
— USA Today looks at how Colorado plans to re-brand itself once it enters the new Pac-10.
— QB Joseph Gray, the newest Husky commit, had a nice game over the weekend as Dorsey beat Mira Mesa. The LA Times also has an update on Gray and Dorsey.
— Lots of good links around the Pac-10 from Vince Grippi inn Spokane and Ken Goe at The Oregonian.
Both Sarkisian and OSU coach Mike Riley will be on the Pac-10 coaches confererence call later this morning, so I’ll post a few things from that, and then head to practice later, with all the usual coverage from there there, as well.
