Saturday morning links — Gameday is here, and a big night for UW commit Gray

Gameday is here, and as i note in my preview story today, this used to be a game the Huskies could take for granted (not recently, obivously, was a time).
OSU’s transformation, while not a new story, remains amazing to those of us who have been following the conference for decades. And as Brock Huard noted in my story today, what’s especially interesting in the case of UW and OSU is how the two programs have shifted. It’s OSU with the veteran, established coaching staff and the entrenched offensive and defensive philosphies, allowing it to — as they used to always say of Don James — reload rather than rebuild. And it’s UW that is on its fifth coach since 1998, trying again to put in place systems that will stand the test of time.
IN OTHER NEWS. …
— We’ll lead with the news that Joseph Gray, the Dorsey Joseph Gray QB that just committed to UW, threw for 385 yards and seven TDs last night. Here’s a video report from ESPN.com’s LA site that include an interview with Gray.

And here’s a story. As is noted, UW is also pursuing Gray’s leading receiver, Marvin Hall.
— It’s Homecoming for UW and here’s a list of all the various activities.
— Here’s all the coverage from GoHuskies.com.
— The Oregonian’s preview story notes that OSU hasn’t started 3-0 in conference play since 1968. (As Ron Fairly might have said, that’s a pretty long time).
— Lots of gameday coverage here from the Corvallis Gazette-Times. That includes a good look at players to watch.
— The Eugene Register-Guard, meanwhile, says that OSU’s success at UW is no mistake by the lake (no, that would be the press box hot dogs).
— UW commit Kasen Williams had TD receptions of 14 and 85 yards as Skyline won easily last night.
— UW commit Aubrey Coleman also had another big game.
— Lots of links around the conference from Vince Grippi and Ken Goe.
— Here’s the updated Pac-10 injury report.
— Here’s the updated line, showing UW remains favored by 1-2 points.
As always, I’ll try for a pre-game chat around 5:30 p.m.
