Well, that was a little surprising. Not the loss, but the magnitude of it.
This was just domination, with Arizona toying with the Huskies after building that early lead. Arizona threw just six passes in the second half, content to rein things out and run out the clock.
The late hour again makes it challenging to meet deadlines and get coverage on here — and tonight there’s the added complication of trying to get back to Phoenix for our morning flights. So I’ll pass along what I can.
First, a few links. …
— Here’s my game story with all the nuts and bolts of the game,
— And the notebook leading off with Jake Locker’s injury issues.
— Times columnist Jerry Brewer writes that there was no defense for this game.
— Here’s the report from GoHuskies.com.
I’ll try to get a few more notes and quotes up shortly.
