My Top 25

The new AP and USA Today polls are out, and they make it official that Washington, fresh off one of its worst losses ever, now has to play the No. 1 team in the country in the Oregon Ducks.
You can find each of the polls here.
And here is my ballot for this week:
1, Oregon
2, Boise State
3, Auburn
4, TCU
5, Utah
6, Wisconsin
7, Ohio State
8, Alabama
9, Nebraska
10, Oklahoma
11, Stanford
12, Arizona
13, Iowa
14, LSU
15, Oklahoma State
16, Missouri
17, Michigan State
18, Baylor
19, South Carolina
20, Virginia Tech
21, Mississippi State
22, Arkansas
23, Hawaii
24, Oregon State
25, North Carolina State
I’m in lockstep with the overall poll on the top four. I still have Utah higher than most but moved the Utes down a spot after a somewhat sluggish win at Air Force. Utah is now in the spotlight with its game this week against TCU, which will obviously go a long way toward settling the issue for each of those teams over where they should rank.
A few of the picks at the bottom might raise some eyebrows. But from about 20 down it is not that easy — an awful lot of teams that look the same. I went with Hawaii over Nevada since the Warriors just won their head-to-head two weeks ago.
And I put Oregon State back in as kind of an “overall resume” pick, also feeling that the Pac-10 deserves four teams in the rankings.
