My Top 25

The rankings for this week are out.
And as always, I’ll post mine, as well.
I kept the same top four of Oregon, Boise State, Auburn and TCU. I debated it heavily after watching each play this week. But I ultimately decided not to penalize Oregon for a close win on the road — remember, Auburn had similarly tight wins against similar-type teams in Clemson, Kentucky and Mississippi State earlier in the year, and it’s the time of year where the entire body of work has to come into play, not just what happened 24 hours ago (barring the obvious of a loss).
And I think, for the first time I’ve ever done this, I have the same top 25 teams in my poll as are in the final top 25 (if in a different order in some cases).
I wasn’t sure about Arizona as the Wildcats have lost two in a row and have a third on deck with a trip to Oregon next week. But of the three-loss teams out there that I didn’t have in my poll at that point, I thought they seemed the most worthy, and evidently most everyone else agreed.
Here’s my ballot:
1, Oregon
2, Boise State
3, Auburn
4, TCU
5, Ohio State
6, LSU
7, Wisconsin
8, Stanford
9 , Nebraska
10, Oklahoma State
11, Alabama
12, Michigan State
13, Arkansas
14, Oklahoma
15, Virginia Tech
16, Missouri
17, Texas A&M
18, USC
19, South Carolina
20, Iowa
21, Nevada
22, Mississippi State
23, Miami
24, Utah
25, Arizona
