Monday morning links

It’s an Apple Cup Monday, one of the best Mondays of the year, and I’m setting off to talk about that, as well as UW’s win over Cal, on the Husky Roundtable on KJR-AM at roughly 8:20 a.m. on KJR-AM in Seattle. Former Huskies Hugh Millen and Chuck Nelson are also part of the Roundtable along with host Mitch Levy.
In other news. …
— Here’s my story for today’s paper attempting to set up what is at stake this week in the Apple Cup from a UW point of view.
Bud Withers looks at the Pac-10 weekend that was and says Steve Sarkisian did the right thingg.
— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller has UW fifth in his weekly Pac-10 power poll.
Jon Wilner looks at Stanford’s bowl situation, which could obviously have a huge impact on what could happen to UW. What seems apparent for UW is that the options are the Alamo, Holiday and Sun, with the Holiday seeming the most likely, but the Alamo potentially in play (depending largely on what happens with Arizona this week) and the Sun maybe at play (mostly if Oregon State were to get bowl eligible.)
— The Arizona Daily Star examines what’s on the line for the Wildcats this week.
All for now.
