First off, thanks for all the comments and questions on our recruiting chat earlier today. Here’s the replay for anyone who missed it, and we tried to address the most obvious and immediate issues (so sorry if some of your questions didn’t get answered, but tried to keep it as much to current topics as we could).
A few of you asked on there for updates from today’s Senior Bowl practices. One thing to know is that it is the first three days — Monday-Wednesday — considered most important in the eyes of the scouts. Many have already left. So what happens from here on out isn’t as vital (if you recall, Donald Butler took a huge leap last year with good Senior Bowl workouts, then hardly played in the game itself due to an injury, though that ended up not even mattering much).
And it sounds like that may have been a good thing for Jake Locker, as I’ve seen a few reports that he didn’t have his best day today, throwing an interception or two in the red zone, and also fumbling a snap.
However, most of the reportage from there is that the dye was cast in the first few days of the workouts — not that there is much agreement on which way anyone is leaning when it comes to Locker. In fact, you can find just as many stories out there saying he helped himself as those that say he hurt himself, as SBNation points out.
