Saturday notes — Locker, Foster appear in Senior Bowl, more

For all that’s been written about the Senior Bowl, the one thing that has yet to happen is the game itself.

That takes place today at 1 p.m., with Jake Locker and Mason Foster playing for the North. The game will be televised on the NFL Network.

As for a few other items. …

— Husky WR James Johnson is participating in the UW Invitational indoor track meet at the Dempsey Indoor today and ran an 8.72 in the 60-meter hurdles. Cameron Elisara is also entered in the shot put.

— No new definitive new recuiting news at the moment. Most noteworthy may be this blog post out of Wisconsin late last night that quotes Jacoby Brissett’s coach saying he thinks it’s a “long shot” that the QB leaves the state of Florida for either of the UW schools recruiting him.

Chris Nee of Rivals.com Tweeted today that he doesn’t expect Brissett to sign on signing day.

— ASU’s class, which was going to be on the small side anyway since it doesn’t have a lot of seniors, has suffered some key defections of late.

— UCLA, also struggling to put a class together, is pinning much of its hope on QB Brett Hundley, who is already enrolled in school.

All for now.
