Friday morning links — Three Huskies to Combine, Brissett update, and more

A few notes to pass along on a Friday morning. …

— The official invite list for the NFL Combine later this month is out and it includes three Huskies — Jake Locker, Mason Foster and Nate Williams. Ted Miller has the full Pac-12 breakdown here.

Here’s more info on the Combine, which will be held Feb. 23-March 1.

— The Palm Beach Post reports this morning that a source says Jacoby Brissett will sign with Florida. He is expected to officially announce that before his basketball game tonight.

— Here’s a story from the Ventura County Star on Antavius Sims’ late decision to sign with UW. He will have three years to play two once he arrives at Washington.

— Interesting news out or Arizona this morning that Matt Scott will apparently redshirt in 2011 so he can be in line to take over for Nick Foles as the starter at QB in 2012. Scott got a start against UW this year when Foles was injured and led the Wildcats to a 44-14 win. UW will play Arizona in 2011 and 2012.

— Missed this yesterday, but the Long Beach Press-Telegram had quotes from both Corey Waller and Kameron Jackson, the former on why he stuck with UW, the latter on why he decided to sign instead with Cal.

— A picture of Derrick Brown signing his letter with UW in this story.

— And here are some quotes from James Sample on his signing with UW.

— Locker is being mentored by Matt Schaub at the Super Bowl.

— UCLA is luring an assistant away from Nevada to help it run the Pistol.

— Miller also examines how Utah has reshuffled its staff.

All for now.
