Monday night links — 1978 Rose Bowl on ESPN Classic at 10 p.m.

Wasn’t intending another entry tonight, but was reading through the questions and saw that one reader noted that the 1978 Rose Bowl is on ESPN Classic at 10 p.m.

And indeed it is, so set your DVRs or whatever you have, or just watch it, as that’s as pivotal a game as UW may ever have played, fully kickstarting the Don James era. Here’s a little story I wrote on that season a few years ago.

And that gives a reason to pass along a few other links. …

Dave Mahler of KJR-AM had Jake Locker’s agent, David Dunn, as a guest today — here’s the podcast. Dunn said that baseball may remain a slight option for Locker depending on what happens with the NFL labor situation the rest of the way and also talked about what Locker did at the Super Bowl and that he would be surprised if Locker is not a first round pick.

— NFL.com includes Locker in an examination of what the Combine could mean for some of the QBs who will be attending.

— UW QB Nick Montana’s older brother, Nate, is transferring from Notre Dame to Montana.

— The Pac-12 announced three Thursday night games, none involving UW.
