Locker runs a 4.59 40 at the Combine UPDATED

Jake Locker’s day to run and throw at the NFL Combine has arrived, and he got it off to a nice start with a 4.59. time in the 40-yard dash.

Here’s the report from Danny O’Neil, who is covering the Combine for the Times. UPDATED — And here’s O’Neil’s second report after the times were updated, showing Locker with an official time of 4.59.

Rob Rang also says that Locker threw well during the passing portion of the drills today.

UPDATE — And here’s more from Rang, saying he thinks Locker “helped himself.”
