Do you want the Seahawks to take Jake Locker?

So here seems like a good rainy-day, two-weeks-until-spring-football poll topic — would you want the Seahawks to draft Jake Locker if he were available?

It’s no secret the Seahawks need a young QB, and no less than Mel Kiper Jr. this week had Seattle taking Locker with the No. 25 pick of the first round in his mock draft.

But obviously, Locker being drafted by the Seahawks would come with a heavy spotlight, his every move sure to be dissected instantly and intently by media and fans alike.

Locker handled that just fine at UW, though it didn’t hurt that he redshirted his first season and was allowed to ease into things a bit on and off the field. And he does seem to have the kind of temperament to deal with the spotlight a little better than others. And he’s said he’d be more than happy to stay close to home and play for a team he followed growing up.

Still, given all the other challenges involved in making that kind of leap (making the maybe faulty assumption that there’ll be an NBA season this year), maybe Locker would be better served goinig somewhere else where he might be able to be a little more anonymous (though the reality is that highly-drafted QBs always carry heavy expectations and garner a lot of attention).

Intro over, here’s your chance to have your say:
