A few quick links to pass along before we head up to Pro Day at UW this morning. That begins at 10 a.m. and you can watch it on ESPN3.com. It is otherwise closed to the public, though we’ll have coverage here and there will be plenty to be found elsewhere.
CoachSark’s site listed the 11 UW players who will be in attendance.
Obviously, the focus will be on Jake Locker. NFLDraftScout.com expert Rob Rang is reporting this morning that Locker will make about 60 throws under a plan coordinated by UW offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, and won’t do any running or timed events.
Rang notes the use of Nussmeier’s plan, rather than that of his post-season coach, Ken O’Brien, is an “interesting choice” and indicates further loyalty to UW.
In a few other links. …
— Times’ columnist Jerry Brewer wrote that the way UW played at the end of the season could serve as a template for the future and take the pressure off the new QB.
— Here’s my notebook from practice with a bit more on the QB situation.
— The school’s web site wrote about the value of continuity in the coaching staff.
— The Everett Herald also focused on the QBs.
— The Tacoma News Tribune also wrote about a practice without Jake Locker.
— Ted Miller has lots of good stuff on new Pac-12 member Colorado on his blog today.
As noted, more later from Pro Day, and I’ll also try to get a few more interviews from Tuesday posted, as well.
