The weather has turned out okay up here at UW today. But it wasn’t a few hours ago when the Huskies made the decision to head to the Dempsey Indoor — and once all the video stuff and other equipment was indoors, the Huskies decided to keep with the initial plan to practice inside.
And in good news for the Huskies, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who left Tuesday’s practice early with a quad pull, was back in full pads and participating early on. In fact, the video below features him at the end, catching a pass during an early drill. It’s a short video, but features each of the team’s four QBs — scholarship QBs Keith Price and Nick Montana followed by walk-ons Erik Wilson and Thomas Vincent. That’s Vincent, an early enrollee from King’s High, throwing to Seferian-Jenkins in the video. (And I was remiss not to point out earlier that that’s Cort Dennison also catching a pass — he’s in the white jersey — apparently simply finding something to do during a session when he otherwise would have been on the sidelines).
Also, both the OLs who missed Tuesday’s practice with the flu — Colin Porter and Ben Riva — are back out, giving the Huskies a full contingent to work with again today.
And among those watching the practice are the parents of Montana, Hall of Famer Joe and wife Jennifer.
Back with more after practice.
