Monday morning links and notes

Not much out there today about the Huskies after UW practiced on Saturday and now is off until Tuesday.

One question I’ve gotten is if there are rules on how often a team can scrimmage in the spring. The answer is yes (and here’s a good roundup of the spring limits). Saturday was not one of those as UW just had a small 11-on-11 full-contact session near the end. Next Saturday, however, likely will be, though I’ll pass along official word on that once I get it.

For now, a few other links around the Pac-12/college football. …

— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller has a good wrapup of the weekend action around the Pac-12.

— Five observerations from USC’s scrimmage.

— Here’s Jon Wilner’s recap of Stanford’s spring game.

— An update on Cal’s spring.

— USC is in exclusive talks with Fox for its multimedia rights deal (this does not apparently involve TV, however).

— Utah has a major scrimmage today.

— Instead of naming captains, Oregon is tabbing 16 players to serve as “squad leaders.”

— News and notes from Nebraska’s spring camp.

Jake Locker mentioned in this batch of draft rumors from the National Football Post.

— Well-respected offensive coach Homer Smith has died.

Rachel Bachman of The Oregonian examines if the road to the BCS title game runs through cupcakes.

— Rivals.com breaks down college football schedules by conference.

All for now.
