Watch the Pac-12 TV press conference announcement live

Wednesday will be a momentous one in the history of the new Pac-12, as the conference will announce its new TV deal, which will provide a pretty big security blanket for everybody involved for a quite a while.

Times colleges reporter Bud Withers breaks down what it means for the conference and how it came together, noting that for once the Pac-12 had pretty good timing — catching lightning in a bottle, as one analyst says.

The Deseret News examines what it will mean for Utah, while here is what it could mean for the Oregon schools and USC. Also, here is the view from LA, Arizona and the Bay Area.
