Tuesday afternoon links — Locker in Tennessee

A couple items worth passing along, including this from Titan Insider that former UW QB Jake Locker is in Tennessee working out with some of his new Tennessee teammates.

Also of note in that story is that Locker says he has had a few workouts in recent days at UW alongside Matt Hasselbeck, who needs somewhere to throw with NFL players currently locked out.

IN OTHER NEWS. …

— Interesting interview here with NCAA president Mark Emmert on paying players and holding coaches to a higher standard.

— Emmert today also named the new members of the Bowl Licensing Task Force.

— The Salt Lake Tribune has a bunch of predictions from writers who cover the Pac-12, including our own Bud Withers, who picks UW second in the North ahead of Stanford in one of his several eye-popping selections that also includes slating Cal last in the North, with WSU fifth. UW ranges everywhere from second to fifth.

— As RuleofTree angrily notes, Stewart Mandel of SI.com also had some interesting picks, prediction Cal second in the North, behind Oregon and ahead of Stanford.

— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller with some interesting news on a possible late addition to Arizona State’s defense.

Tyson Coleman, a recruit who claimed Steve Sarkisian asked him to marry him during the recruiting process but instead signed with Oregon, was arrested over the weekend for minor in possession and interfering with police.
