Another just stunning day here in Seattle, which means another quick set of links before heading out. …
— Missed this a few days ago, but MaxPreps.com says Kasen Williams is making a case to be named the National Athlete of the Year. He’s already been named the Parade Magazine Player of the Year, among numerous regional and national accolades.
— Lots of discussion, but not a lot of public details yet, about the Pac-12 Network as the conference holds meetings this weekend in Seattle.
— Also some general talk at the meetings of support of exploring ideas to give athletes a little more money.
— UW signee Marvin Hall finished ninth in the 100 at the California state meet over the weekend with a time of 10.96. He was also part of the Dorsey 1600-relay team that was third. Hall is reported to have “had some work to do” academically by Dorsey coaches, but expected to make it. But it has sounded all along as if this could be one that has some wait-and-see until he actually enrolls. No definitive word yet at the moment.
— More on Ken O’Brien tutoring Jake Locker.
All for now.
