Thursday links — Pac-12 adds a bowl for this year, chat reminder and more

First off, a reminder of our live chat today at 1 p.m. with recruiting analyst Adam Gorney of Rivals.com. Obviously, a good time to ask questions about UW’s recruiting, and Pac-12 and the West Coast, as well.

Next, I missed this yesterday, but the New Mexico Bowl announced that its agreement to invite a team from the Pac-12 that was set to begin in 2012 will instead begin this season. The game, held in Albuquerque on Dec. 17, will feature a Mountain West team against the No. 7 selection from the Pac-12. UW fans obviously have higher hopes than that, but you never know and this could be a destination for the Huskies this season.

Anthony Gimino of the Tucson Citizen has more on this change, as well as a complete list of the Pac-12 bowl agreements for this year.

IN OTHER NEWS. …

All for now.
