Tuesday night update

I’ve been buried in covering the news today that Seattle University is headed to the WAC, which set off quite the celebration on campus there. So I may be a little late with some of this but figure I’ll pass it on anyway. …

Greg Biggins of ESPN.com caught up with Cajon cornerback Damontae Kazee, who told Biggins that his commitment to UW is “a soft commitment” and that he plans to take official visits in the fall.

— Biggins also had the news that Lakes High OT Zach Banner has cut his list of finalists to nine — Washington, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Alabama, LSU, Florida State, Oklahoma and USC. He also there is no order of the nine. He also said he plans to take all of his official visits and that three will be to Michigan (Sept. 10), Notre Dame (Oct. 22) and USC. He also denied that UW is a leader, saying he will have no problem leaving home, and that he likely won’t announce until close to signing day.

John Henderson of the Denver Post is in Seattle as part of his tour of Pac-12 cities and says that Colorado’s facilities don’t compare to the rest of its new conference,
